The studio centers around Steinberg's Cubase 8 audio and midi sequencing software using twin Steinberg MR816CSX Audio Interfaces for 32 track simultaneous recording.  Almost everything is done 'in the box' making recall of a project a year down the line as simple as opening it.  

 

The latest addition to the studio is a the Roland TD30KV Electric Drum kit which has positional sensors on each mesh pad, triggering real drum samples from Steven Slate and Toontrack,  to give drummers all the feel of an acoustic kit but without the hassles of microphones and additional noise that goes with that.    The headphone monitoring system I use allows up to 8 musicians to have their own individual headphone mix, with each musician having their own remote station to dial in exactly how much, and of what, they want in their cans.
